Slippery

So this winter season first snow came last week, Yes or not since the first thing I almost did was to fall on my arse. I was in a hurry and choose totally wrong shoes which I soon discovered. Well just outside my port the landlord had been shovelling but had not put any sand on the ground so it was very slippery. I can say that I don't want to fall again this winter. About a month ago we had the autumns first ice that you can't see, Black Ice I think it is called, and yeah down I went, right on the platform at the tram-stop, I hope no one saw me. So embarrassing. Lucky for me a tram departed a minute before I got to the platform.
The worst thing that came out of me slipping was that I succeeded with dislocated my shoulder again, only the third time that happened, it's been almost a year since last time. Yeah and I'm not kidding, damn that hurt, I can't really describe how bad it hurts when that happens, well the shoulder popped back into place all on its own, hurt like hell that too... Luckily I live close by so I went home,  I think had tears of pain running down my face. Trust me crying is something I don't do in public. The thing was that I grabbed the railing so the fall wouldn't be so bad. Ohh boy was I in for a surprise, looking back I think I would do the exact same thing next time but not with the same result hopefully.

Well back to last week acrobatic exercises, I didn't fall, I succeeded to hold my balance, thank God for that. But if someone saw me they most likely would have laughed so much, my arms waving like a bird, well you get the picture. Do you think I was smart enough to return to my flat to change shoes? No, because what's the fun with that., of course I was close to fall on my arse again several times. After my day on my student education placement I went directly to next work, sorting mail and empty mailboxes for about four hours. The clock were about 8pm when I got home so it was a long day and I were really tired. But at least I didn't fall on my arse during the day:)

I think my one of my friends can remember a night on our way to the tram-stop when it had been raining and the temperature went below 0°C during the day. We almost didn't make it to the tram-stop alive. It started with me loosing my balance. I was thinking  ooohhh craaap this is not good so I reached out to my friend because I thought that she got a good grip, I couldn't be more wrong, we both were waving our arms and trying to regain our balance and after a minute or so we did. So we continued on to the tram but we went really, really slow and were extra careful. When we got to the stairs hich goes down to a placed called Mariaplan where the tram-stop is located, little did we know that both my friend and I were about to do the same procedure with our arms and bodies again. My friend almost landed on her arse but she avoided it with a bit of luck. I thought it was funny and laughed, I shouldn't have done that because right after I lost my balance but I stayed on my feet... Ohh good memories...

So usually the first snow that falls always melt away but not this year and there is already ice in the river which is not a normal thing. The ice usually makes its appearance in the middle of January or February if its cold enough but not in December , so I guess this will be the start of an interesting winter season here in Gothenburg, Sweden...
