Yes, I guessed right

Eric Saade won Melodifestivalen with his entry called Popular written by Fredrik Kempe. I said from the beginning that this year will be a race between Eric Saade and Danny and so it was. Both have up-tempo pop songs with different styles although I think Danny's song In the Club is a little more up to date than Eric's Popular which has elements from a couple of Swedish songs from the 1980s. Both artists had well choreographed shows to their songs and they were in my opinion the most professional made. I've read comments from people that really don't care for these songs but I guess they are sore losers or just disappointed and the facts are that Eric and Danny got the most votes from both the juries and from the Swedish people.

Eric and Danny's songs weren't the only ones I liked of the 32 entries this year, sadly a few of them didn't even make to the finale. Jenny Silver's Something in your eyes, a typical Swedish schlager, Loreen's My heart is refusing me, a mid up-tempo pop song, Linda Pritchard's Alive, a ballad and Love Generation's Dance Alone, written by RedOne, all these songs got an another chance to get to the finale but didn't make it. So finally after six weeks the winner has been chosen and Sweden's biggest song competition can rest until next year...

This year runner up: Danny Saucedo "In The Club"

The Winner: Eric Saade "Popular"
